What is the most needed and least donated clothing item for the homeless?

Karma. We usually associate it with someone we want to get revenge with or when we want something bad to happen to someone, who well, deserves it. Because some people just deserve what’s coming to them. You can’t argue that.

Today, we associate the word “karma”, and actions of “karma”, I think as something negative. Something mean. Something bad. Revenge tastes so sweet, doesn’t it? What goes around comes around. Right?

Let’s get a lesson in karma. I love karma. I believe in karma. I love the concept of karma. Karma is real. By definition karma means:

kar·ma
ˈkärmə/
noun
  1. (in Hinduism and Buddhism) the sum of a person’s actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences.
    • informal
destiny or fate, following as effect from cause.

So back to my question, what is the most needed and least donated clothing item for the homeless? Socks.

That wasn’t my guess either. So what does karma have to do with..socks? Socks are a good thing. You probably take your socks for granted (hopefully after this story/blog you won’t). We put them through hell. They smell. They get holes. They wear out. We need them to wear shoes. We need them to keep our feet warm in the cold. We need them to protect our feet. I hope after this cool story, you won’t take your socks for granted anymore.

Most people have a sock drawer. If your drawer is like my drawer…I have two drawers. Some people don’t have a sock drawer. Or, even have socks. How often do you buy socks? Or even think about the purpose, advantage, and important of, having socks? Some people don’t realize what it is like to get new socks. Truth. That hurts.

Socks are the most needed and least donated clothing item for the homeless. After I was told that, I realize I don’t think I have ever donated a pair of socks.

Welcome, to Sock Karma. You get rad socks and so does someone else.

Let me fill you in and tell you why it started in 2015.

There is nobody else in the industry doing anything else like this, so why not do something rad for the less fortunate? Fuel is. Because everyone needs Sock Karma.

*This is not a paid promotion. This is a cool program that Fuel Clothing started and I think deserves a shoutout. When I heard about it – it was like someone slapped me upside the head with my own socks. Shane, the owner of Fuel Clothing, delivers the socks to homeless shelters and personally hands them out to people in need. This way he knows good karma is being spread and the program can be trusted, plus he even stays for dinner. I think that part is pretty cool.

Q: WHAT IS SOCK KARMA?

A: Sock Karma is the Original Action/Motorsport sock subscription service that not only sends you socks every month, but also donates another pair to homeless shelters every month. (If you receive 3 pairs a month, we will donate 3 pairs on your behalf, if you order 4, we will donate 4, ect). Our subscription is perfect for action enthusiasts that are looking to make their sock drawer as kick ass as they are.

Q: DO I GET TO CHOOSE THE SOCKS I GET?
A: No. We believe that’s what adds to the excitement of a sock subscription – it’s a surprise!

Q: WHY CHOOSE SOCK KARMA?
A: Because it means you’ll never have to worry about buying socks again! You can update your lame sock drawer with just a single click. Not only do you save gas, but you’re saving cash. Think of how good a new pair of socks will feel – now think of how good they’d feel if they were your only pair. That’s why we want to donate a pair of socks to homeless shelters every month with the sock subscription. We believe that we can make a huge difference and we would like your help.

Q: HOW LONG WILL MY SUBSCRIPTION LAST?
A: It can last for however long you want it to.  The minimum is three months, but the duration can be a lifetime. If you do wish to cancel your subscription after three months, email Sales@fuelclothing.com and we’ll take care of it for you. However, you will need to cancel your subscription at least 7 days before your next order ships.

Q: WHEN WILL I GET MY SOCKS?
A: We process new subscriptions right away, so when you first sign up you’ll get your socks within 7 days. After your first sock delivery – your next pair will be shipped 30 days after. So it will be typically around the same date each month.

Q:CAN I BUY A SOCK SUBSCRIPTION FOR SOMEONE ELSE?
A: Of course! And we highly recommend it. It’s perfect for birthdays, holidays, and gifts for just the hell of it. We’re all about good karma – so we want everyone to be a part of it. All you have to do is put the lucky person’s name and mailing address for the shipping address, and you’re set. If you have any more questions about this – email us at sales@fuelclothing.com.

Q:DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
A. Sorry, but no. Sock Karma is only active in the U.S as of now.
