Hello, it’s me. Bad to the Blonde – Dani on the Daily. Welcome to look two in the “Be a Rebel with Class” lookbook series. You’re getting a two in one deal right here! As a Phoenix blogger, pleather skirts work all year round because there is to many pleather skirt outfits. Yes, we have one season so get ready to see this pleather skirt get wild and western.
If you missed the first look click here. If neither of the two looks below doen’t look like a rebel with some class to you…than I think we need to talk. Or faux get about it. (I am so funny).
Faux real though (it’s just too easy – LOL) pleather or leather are my favorite things in my closet. I find it very comfy and affordable since I don’t do real leather unless I am riding a motorcycle. So, since I am not, let’s faux it up with these two sexy looks for the biker chick or the sexy cowgirl in you. If you don’t like this. Faux off. (I crack myself up.)
Being a rebel with class is all about expressing your wild heart and gypsy soul but still presenting yourself in a classy way for the world to see. My street style is exactly that. Showing some skin and a little sex appeal is totally ok (channel your inner daring, and edgy bad girl) same with mixing a few trends and styles. Being a rebel with class means pushing the boundaries but not crossing them. You can be it is bold, sexy, daring and adventurous, but yet chic, elegant fashionable. It just needs to be style, paired and accessorized right. Throughout this lookbook of simple outfit ideas with basic pieces, you are free to be inspired. You will see that each look has a rebellious piece, or two, and is paired with some class-y pieces or two.
Class is both how you carry yourself and how you wear things the things you carry yourself in, and a rebel is well…that fire that lights that wild heart and gypsy soul of yours. You can be a classy rebel – just don’t let the class clash with the rebel, and always look just a little too cute for jail. It is ok to misbehave just don’t get caught.
I have put together two simple outfits using the same leather skirt (I mean pleather skirt) and thigh high black suede boots. If you’re like me, you might be at a biker bar on a Friday night or at a local country bar on a Saturday night. Or vice versa. Let’s get wild. Let’s get western.
So being the wild, rebellious, country girl and biker chick that I am, the one fashion trend that I will never out grow is pleather and leather. If I riding on the street – it’s leather. If I am walking down the street – it’s pleather. I don’t see pleather (and leather) as a fashion trend that will go out of style. The texture whether real or faux is a timeless necessity. That could be the biker chick in me speaking…or the love for all things western. Hint, hint. I love the smell of leather (you can have it for $22 and save an animal too by buying a candle instead). Leather is undoubtedly one of the most versatile masculine scents which is why I love cowboys. And motorcycles. And I am not picking between the two…hint, hint.
Wild x Western: One Skirt Two Ways
For look one – the wild look – pair the leather skirt (or pleather skirt) and thigh high black suede boots with flannel, leather and lace. Leather + lace is all stereotypical bad girl. Sexy AF though when paired together.
Few things beat a warm, quality flannel that performs with both form and function. This is not your boyfriend’s flannel. He can though get a matching one to match yours, but it will fit differently. Dixxon Flannel Co. has changed the flannel game and didn’t forget about us sexy tomboys. These flannels are fueled by all things fast, with an addiction to adrenaline. They covet what is bold, true, and real. And rebellious. Like a true wild, biker chick. If you aren’t about that “form” you can still use it for “function”. Dixxon flannels are built for form + function.
Pair that flannel with a leather skirt (or pleather skirt) and a pair of thigh high suede black boots to bring out your inner, sexy, bad girl self. After all, you are the girl who can hang with the boys and isn’t afraid to get dirty. You are a girl who throws the rulebook out the window and sure as hell isn’t afraid to push the boundaries. Finally pair leather + lace with a leather choker (or pleather choker) and black lace bralette to complete that wild, rebellious, biker chick outfit in style. Don’t forget about nude nails.

I am a Phoenix blogger so look two is all about the desert and western wear. For look two – the western look – pair the leather skirt (or pleather skit) and black suede boots with a fringe vest and turquoise necklace. Turquoise and fringe are the most important western details this OOTD needs.
You will fit right into the Wild, Wild West with this outfit since nothing is more Western than suede, fringe and turquoise jewelry all worn together. Pair the leather (or pleather) skirt with a suede, fringe vest and a bold necklace like the one pictured to be a whiskey drinking country girl. Leather comes from the west after all (I really am a huge animal lover so I opt for pleather as much as possible). Skip the cowgirl boots with this one though so you don’t look western AF.
